As part of the 2nd Annual Richland Village Festival held on May 28, 2016, John and Anne Viola of Newfield were recognized for their donation of the WI Switch Tower. The Switch Tower, after being decommissioned, was located in their back yard at their home in Newfield.
They donated the Tower to Buena Vista Township in 2006. It was renovated and relocated beyond the Richland Village Train Station.
The long overdue dedication just recently took place on the May 28th rain date. See description on plaque.
