Buena Vista Township Dog Census
The Township of Buena Vista has begun its annual Census, as required by New Jersey Statute.
“IF” you are a dog owner within the municipality and do not already have a current license, you will have seven (7) days from the date of notification in which to obtain a license.
Out of town licenses will be honored.
Dog License Fees: $12.00 neutered or spayed
$ 15.00 not neutered or spayed
+ $7.00 late fee
Licenses may be obtained in person or by mail. Enclose a self-addresses, stamped enveloped; valid rabies certificate; spayed/neutered certificate if applicable and a check or money order made payable to “Buena Vista Township”. DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN A SUMMONS REQUIRING A COURT APPEARANCE AND/OR FINE.

DOG LICENSES
Dog licenses are required each year and can be purchased at the Township Clerk’s Office. When purchasing a dog license a valid rabies certificate is required. If your dog is spayed or neutered proof must be provided. After March 31st of each year an additional $7.00 late fee will be charged unless the Township notes otherwise.

RABIES AND LICENSING CLINICS
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.2a, animal rabies vaccination immunization must extend thru, at least, the first ten months of the twelve month licensing period. Four rabies and licensing clinics for dogs and cats are held each March at various fire hall locations. See calendar for details. The Atlantic County Animal Shelter (609) 485-2345 also holds clinics. You may also call the Township Clerk’s Office for more details.
CAT REGISTRATION
Township law requires cats to be registered with the Township Clerk’s Office. The fee is $7.00 per cat spayed and neutered, or $9.00 if not there is a $7.00 late fee after March 31st. A Rabies Certificate is required.
