BVT First Ever National Night Out is August 3rd!!

The Buena Vista Township Special Events Committee proudly announces the first ever “National Night Out” in BVT!

On Tuesday, August 3rd from 6 – 8 pm. We will have Fire, State Police, EMS, and Forest Fire Service Vehicles on hand to see and touch. Demonstrations and dozens of Community Groups and organizations on site with free give-aways. Talk to our First Responders and thank them for all they do for our community.

WHILE SUPPLIES LAST: Free Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Ice Cream Cones, and goodie bags for the children.

We will be located at the Buena Regional High School Parking lot, with free parking at the Buena Regional Middle School next door.

Reasonably priced food will be available at the Special Events Booth. (Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, and beverages.)

The Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center Report

Current activities at the MLK Center include: 

  • Food Pantry every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 1-4pm. 
  • The Seniors of Newtonville Area: Meeting every Wednesday at 10am- all senior citizens over 55 can come, join and participate.
  • Community Fun Day: Saturday, August 28th. Starts at 12 Noon
  • Veteran’s Appreciation Breakfast: Saturday, September 11th at 10 am 
  • First Responder’s Appreciation Breakfast: Saturday, October 2nd at 10 am
  • Community Thanksgiving Dinner: Thursday, November 25th at 2 pm
  • Breakfast with Santa: Saturday, December 11th at 10 am

The Dr Martin Luther King Center is available to host various events, including graduation parties, birthday celebrations, receptions, or baby showers. Buena Vista Township residents receive discounted rates for these events. Applications can be obtained in person at the Buena Vista Township Municipal Building as well as the Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center, or via email. Call 609-704-7262 for details regarding renting the MLK Center or Wilder Hines Park. All events will be required to adhere to current Covid-19 Mandates and rules.

Environmental Commission Offers Farm Market Tour

Farm Market Tour will be held on Saturday, July 10th, 2021: 12 noon –  4 pm

Sponsored by the Buena Vista Township Environmental Commission and Green Team, transportation is provided by the Route 54/40 Shuttle. Come and take a ride with us to see our local farm markets and the beautiful flowers and produce they have to offer. There will be two pick-up locations: 

1st Pick up at 12 Noon at The Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center in Newtonville

2nd pick up at 12:30pm at Cranberry Run in Buena

Reservations and Masks are required. Bring a small crate or box to hold your purchases at the back of the bus. Call to reserve your seat: Beth Conway, 856-697-2100, Ext 8

April 2021 is EARTH MONTH in BVT

Located at the Buena Vista Township, 430 Union Road, East Vineland.

Every Saturday (3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th) from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon    

And Each Friday, except Good Friday (9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th) from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Items accepted: Appliances, metals, used motor oil, brush/leaves in Biodegradable Kraft-type bags, bulky rigid plastics, recyclables, E-Waste, and up to 4 tires with no rims.

Items Not Accepted: Construction, demolition, lumber, or concrete materials. No hazardous materials or paint.

Free Tree Seedlings – Reserve Now!

Seedlings will be available by reservation only at the Buena Vista Township Municipal Complex, 890 Harding Highway, Buena. There will be two days for scheduled curb-side pick-up, please wear your mask and stay in your car: Thursday, April 29th and Friday, April 30th.
