On September 19, 2018, Committeeman David Turner, on behalf of the Buena Vista Township Committee, accepted an Executive Proclamation from Governor Murphy’s Office for Buena Vista Township’s participation in “Rural Health Weeks 2018”. Rural Health Weeks is a State-wide event that runs from September 16 through September 30, 2018. The theme of this event is “Connecting Communities and Developing Networks”.
Citizens are encouraged to share, celebrate, and showcase their outcomes on how they work together on health and wellness. It is designed to encourage citizens to honor our rural communities as wonderful places to live, work, and play.
As part of this event, a “Health Fair” was held at the Dr. Martin Luther King Community Center in Newtonville on September 19th for the residents of Buena Vista Township.
