The Ricky Wilcox Scholarship fund was formed in memory of Ricky Wilcox, by his family and friends. Ricky was a well respected student athlete slated to attend West Virginia University. On June 14, 2004, his life was cut short the day before his high school graduation in a car accident. The scholarship fund has been set up in his honor, to recognize athletes who embody the qualities Ricky demonstrated to his school mates and opposing athletes. The scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis to students athletes who are attending college.

Ricky was a standout wrestler at Buena Regional High School. He had many accomplishments and worked hard at achieving his goals. He started wrestling at 6 years old and never tired of the sport. He had a steady workout partner, his brother Mike, that he was so proud of. He loved life on and off the mat. He loved his family and friends and –he had many! He had a smile that we can never forget.
