CANCELLED 2022 Independence Day Festival

Due to the anticipated Inclement weather, and the anticipated unfavorable field conditions left by the rain, the 32nd Annual Independence Day Celebration at Michael Debbi Park in Buena Vista Township, scheduled for Saturday, July 9th, has been cancelled and will unfortunately not be rescheduled for this year.
Look for upcoming information on our big “2nd Annual National Night Out” event hosted by the Municipal Drug Alliance!! Tuesday August 2, from 5 to 9 pm at Michael Debbi Park…more details to follow.
The Buena Vista Township Special Events Committee have finalized plans for a spectacular event and fireworks display for Saturday, July 2nd. Start time will be 11:00 am with a parade beginning at 3:00 pm. Rain date will be July 9th.
Below is a list of events you can expect to see:
Crafters, Bounce Houses and Food will begin at 11:00 am. Lonnie Youngblood will kick off the dance floor from 12:00 to 2pm, followed by Nicky G at 3pm.
- Fire Truck & EMS Parade through-out the Township starts at 2 pm in Collings Lakes and ends at Michael Debbi Park.
Fire Truck & EMS Truck Show from 3 pm to 5 pm.
- Flag raising at 3:00 pm, Special Programs at 4:30 pm & 5:30 pm
- Lots of good food & beverages
- Face painting, Temporary Tattoos, Rock Climbing and Sack Races for the kids
- Music all day & night by Nicky G
- Free hay rides around the park
- Fireman’s Water Barrel Fights
- Fireworks at dusk
