Township of Buena Vista
Please take notice that, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-13 of the Municipal Land Use Law (the ‘MLUL’), that the Planning Board of the Township of Buena Vista will conduct a public hearing beginning at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Buena Vista Township Municipal Building, 890 Harding Highway, Buena, NJ, to hear public comment on the adoption of the Township’s Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, which will amend the Township’s Master Plan. You may appear either in person, or by agent or attorney, and present any comments, suggestions, changes or objections which you may have regarding the adoption of the Township’s Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, which will amend the Township’s Master Plan. After public comment, the Planning Board shall consider adoption of the Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan by way of resolution.

The proposed Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan was prepared in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28 of the MLUL and the mandatory requirements of a Housing Element under the recently amended New Jersey Fair Housing Act (P.L. 2024, c.2) and the Administrative Office of the Courts Directive #14-24. The Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan also delineates the actions taken, and to be taken, by the Township to create a “realistic opportunity” to satisfy its “fair share” of the regional need for affordable housing.

Copies of the proposed Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Township’s Master Plan, and any other relevant documents, are on file for public inspection with the Planning and Zoning Board Secretary in the Office of the Secretary of the Planning and Zoning Board at least ten (10) days prior to the public hearing and may be reviewed at 890 Harding Highway, Buena, NJ, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Copies of the proposed Master Plan Element referenced above are also available on the Township’s website, www.buenavistanj.com.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Buena Vista will sell the following real property not needed for public use to the highest bidder, April 8, 2025, at 11:00AM, Buena Vista Township Municipal Building, 890 Harding Highway, Buena, NJ 08310. Minimum bids will be adjusted at the time of sale to reflect additional costs of advertising, legal fees and deed costs. A deposit of 10 percent of the minimum price for real property must be paid in by certified bank check or ACH Wire by the successful bidder at the time of the public sale and no later than one hour after the conclusion of the sale if by ACH Wire. The balance, together with the costs of sale and legal expenses must be deposited in full by certified bank check or ACH Wire within 30 days after the date of sale or acceptance of bid whichever is later at the office of the Township Clerk.
