The new monument was unveiled on Sunday, May 29, 2005. It replaced a 60 year old copper and wood memorial. The new memorial incorporates the names of all the soldiers from Milmay who served in World War II. It also recognizes military service in other wars and those who provide Fire and Rescue services.
